On October 19th, Paviom hosted the official company launch event to the architectural and building, lighting and public sector press. As the company has an exterior focus, Paviom chose to bring the outdoors in - not just through the exterior lighting products on display but in the sunny conservatory of the Millennium Gloucester Hotel, London, underneath some very tall and very real palm trees.
In attendance were 16 editors from a variety of industry publications including Architects Journal, Architecture Today, Building, BD Magazine, Detail, Lighting, Lighting Journal, Mondo Arc, Specification, PSLG and PSB.
Fred Bass, Managing Director of Paviom and Jason Thawley, the eco-designer behind the creation of the company's signature product Lofoot presented to the press about the company's plans and ethos for high quality design - from the energy efficient lamp source to the materials that go into the manufacturing process.
An inspiring speech from both Fred and Jason, and the chance to look at and handle the Lofoot lighting modules themselves, meant that the press came away enthused that a new company was born - and born out of a true passion for lighting.
The event was an overall success and the follow up has been very promising with a wide spread of coverage appearing in the press in the last month.
